Wine and dine
Montnegro is a small country but the food differs depending
of the area you are staying in. Focus is always on traditional meals and tasts.
In the southern areas food is mostly focused on
sea fish dishes and mostly Mediterranean, also very influenced by Italian cuisine (pizza, pasta ...).
In the central and northern areas its mostly continental with lots of meat
dishes, very influenced with eastern Mediterranean cuisine.
Traditional breakfast consists
of Priganice with local honey and cheese (on the picture). Montenegrin honey is very tasty due to the fact that the area is rich in Mediterranean herbs and spices.
