What to see in Podgorica? You can easily find a top 10 places to visit in Podgorica sites, but, the real soul of the city can only be felt when walking down the city streets and visiting it's cult places... Sastavci is definitely one one them. It is a place where two rivers gather, Moraca and Ribnica. Originating from Roman period, when Podgorica was part of ancient Prevalis, this bridge is still standing over Ribnica river. It kept its original shape, and in time had only some minor reconstructions. This used to be favourite place for young couples to meet and enjoy the evening by the calm water of Moraca at the time when cafees were not so popular meeting places, as they are now. St Peters of Cetinje Boulevard is the most frequent Street in Podgorica (and my neighborhood). I have already wrote about my friends preferences when he was visiting Montenegro, last year, in my blog  Location perfect for exploring Montenegro . He focused on the costal part and desided to stay in Budva. You might think: why not staying in the central part, there is a capital, Podgorica? But, you should know that people mostly stay in eather north or south. On the south, if you are mostly interested in sea and costal towns. North is mostly for people who are interested in hiking, walking, rafting, skiing... Or simply, enjoying the nature. Sometimes people combine staying several days on the coast and then 2 or 3 days on the north. Anyway, if north is what you chosed, you should decide for Kolasin or Zabljak. Zabljak , if you ask me. Central part of Montenegro is not so interesting for tourists, but there are some really nice hidden gems to see arround Podgorica, too.
